Anberlin - New Surrender

Anberlin have been quietly building a following for a number of years, and make their major label debut with New Surrender. But that doesn't mean they've sold out: one review said "New Surrender rocks with the force of Blueprints and smarts of Never Take Friendship Personal".

If you've not heard Anberlin before but like Mae, Emery, Copeland or bands of that style, Anberlin just might be the ticket for you! With an appearance on the massive Soundwave festival coming up next year, they look sure to explode in popularity down here in Oz.

Carpathian - Isolation

I don't need to tell you who Carpathian are - especially if you were at Soundwave earlier in the year. Carpathian, as one of only three Aussie bands on the bill, managed to draw massive crowds over from the international bands, even creating a wall of death in Sydney that rivalled the one for headliners Killswitch Engage.

Well it's been almost three years since their brutal debut album Nothing To Lose first cracked eardrums all around the world, and Carpathian are finally ready to unleash the beast that is Isolation. Aussie hardcore is world-renowned, and for good reason. Isolation not only continues that reputation, it surpasses it.

I'm not afraid to admit that I'm one of those guys who travels with a man-bag everywhere he goes.
